The Paediatric Palliative Care Service provides physical, emotional, spiritual and psychological support to children who have a life-limiting illness. Palliative care services can be provided in the home, the local hospital, children’s hospital and hospice. A paediatric palliative care clinic is available at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. Services are accessible up to a child’s 16th birthday; although referral for existing patients with complex care needs may be accepted up to their 18th birthday.
